He’s the sort of fellow who never takes a backward step, whether lending a hand, standing up for a mate or tackling a tough day head-on.
Strong and dependable, Eric believes hard work and looking after others simply come with the territory. Around the Gully, Bushies know they can count on him no matter the situation.
Though he carries himself with quiet confidence, Eric has a warm side too. Around the campfire or sharing stories with friends, his easygoing nature shines through.

Mrs. Esme Emu
Mrs. Esme Emu always seems to have a dozen things happening at once. Between raising chicks, keeping the home running and racing through the daily errands, Esme somehow keeps moving with focus, purpose and good manners.
Known online as @TheRealEsmeEmu, Esme has become Ol' Gum Gully’s favourite influencer and mummy blogger, sharing practical bush-life tips, family moments and little slices of everyday chaos. Her posts are honest, helpful and usually feature a few little emu feet somewhere in the background.
Full of quiet determination, Esme is the sort of Bushie who simply gets things done. No matter how busy life becomes, she always finds time for her family, her community and the small acts of kindness that matter most.
Master. Andy Emu
Andy Emu is the fastest young chap in Ol' Gum Gully, and everyone knows it. If there’s a race, a game or a challenge happening, Andy is already halfway there before most Bushies have tied their shoelaces.
Sport with his mates Lachie, Paddy and Dash fills many of his afternoons, but running has always held a special place in Andy’s heart. He loves the feeling of stretching his legs and charging down dusty tracks with the wind rushing past.
His speed and determination earned him the title of Bushfolk Cross Country Champion two years running... an achievement Andy wears with enormous pride.
Focused and energetic, Andy never stops moving and is always chasing his next finish line.
Miss. Emma Emu
Emma Emu is independent, cheeky and always up for a little harmless fun. Like her good friends Darcy, Lozza and Kylie, Emma loves spending time together and finding excuses to stay out just a little longer.
A curious young lady, Emma has a habit of poking her beak where it perhaps doesn’t belong — especially if there’s a mystery, rumour or unattended lunch nearby. Around Ol' Gum Gully, she’s developed a playful reputation for getting herself into funny situations with a perfectly innocent smile.
Confident and full of personality, Emma sees no reason to make life too predictable. And if Wally leaves his lunch unattended, that's really on him.
