Mr. Lorenzo Lizard
Mr. Lorenzo Lizard brings a little taste of old family tradition to Ol’ Gum Gully.
Proud of his Italian heritage, he runs the Ol’ Gum Gully General Store, where Bushies can find everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to pantry staples, special treats and the occasional hard-to-find ingredient.
When he’s not helping customers, Lorenzo can usually be found beside his beloved bush oven preparing one of his famous pizzas... piled high with bush herbs, fresh toppings and not to everyone’s liking, extra snails!
Cooking is serious business to Lorenzo, though the laughter and storytelling around the oven matter just as much. Friends often wander over when they smell the fire going, knowing there’ll be a warm welcome and plenty to eat.
Passionate and generous, Lorenzo believes good food has a way of bringing everyone together.
Mrs. Lizzie Lizard
Mrs. Lizzie Lizard has earned quite a reputation around Ol' Gum Gully for her baking. From warm bush buns to freshly baked treats, Lizzie always has something delicious on the go.
Patient and considerate, she enjoys sharing her creations with neighbours and Bushies who visit Lorenzo’s Store.
She and Elsie Echidna are especially close, often swapping recipes, ideas and a little friendly competition over whose latest creation turned out best.
Her famous baked treats have become a highlight of community gatherings and she is a regular winner at the annual Great Gum Gully Bake Off.
Whether preparing a batch of family favourites or trying a new recipe, Lizzie takes great pride in creating something worth sharing.
Master Lachie Lizard
Lachie Lizard is one of the rising sports stars of Ol' Gum Gully, with plenty of energy and a quietly ambitious streak.
Whether it’s a casual kickabout or a full day of sport, Lachie is always the first to grab his gear and race outside.
He’s at his happiest playing any sport with his best mates… Dash, Andy, Eddie and Paddy. Together they form a lively little crew, darting from one game to the next and pushing each other to be their best.
Cricket is one of Lachie’s favourite sports, though he’ll happily pick up any ball if it means another chance for a contest.
Talented and kind-natured, Lachie works hard at his sport and hopes there are big things ahead. For now, running, laughing and soaking up all the fun that comes from playing alongside his mates is enough.
Miss. Lozza Lizard
Lozza Lizard is every bit the classic teenager — laid-back, social and always seeming to know what’s going on around Ol' Gum Gully before everyone else.
If the sun’s out, chances are Lozza has already claimed the best spot by the creek or billabong, stretched out in the sunshine and not a worry in the world.
Lozza enjoys long afternoons with her friends Darcy, Emma and Kylie, swapping stories, sharing secrets and keeping up with all the latest bush happenings.
Relaxed and full of quiet confidence, Lozza brings an easygoing energy wherever she goes — and according to her, life’s far too short to spend indoors.
